Stabilizer bar in 1998 Corolla is now standard in all trims

Good news for future Corolla buyers. The 1998 Corolla now comes with the
stabilizer bar in all models. I’ve read messages in the past that the
stabilizer was only available in the LE. The made it easier to handle
than the VE and CE (the trims without the stabilizer bar would spin-out
on tight turns). Most people would get it at as an option, but now it
comes in all the models so it’s good move on Toyota’s part.

Unfortunately, in Consumer Reports Magazine, people that bought their
Corolla already might have to wait for Toyota’s decision on adding the
stabilizer bar to their car. Lucky for me, I just got the LE (July 24,
1998) so I won’t have the problem. But, if anyone has the VE or CE trim,
I would call Toyota and make your voice heard. Toyota might feel the
pressure to offer the upgrade.

Good luck.
