Trailer for next Gran Turismo game released
A trailer for the next installment of the Gran Turismo video game franchise has been released.
The groundbreaking racing simulator, which has inspired several real-life concept cars from actual automakers, will be called Gran Turismo Sport and be the series’s first official release on Playstation 4.
While not a full-on release, which would have 400 cars or so, each of the 130 cars offered has been has been rendered from scratch in painstaking detail, complete with interiors and damage modeling. There will be real cars among them, as well as fantasy racing machines based on real cars.
Examples include the three bonus cars available if the game is pre-ordered: a current-generation Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car, a Toyota FT-1 Group 3 race car, and a Peugeot 908 HDi LMP1 prototype. Cars appear to be somewhat customizable, and a photo mode with stunning locales and multiple cars in each setting is also available.
Also included are several new circuits, including Willow Springs, the Nurburgring, and Brands Hatch. A track modeled on the Shutoku elevated expressways of Tokyo will also be available. Realistic weather effects will change racing conditions as well.
Gran Turismo Sport debuts November 15. Watch the trailer below.
