The Japanese company explains that typical minivans are “useful but boring” and “good for school runs, but not much else” and that’s the reason why their new model has a kind of sporty design. The second generation of the vehicle has been “redesigned from the ground up” and is inspired by the trekking shoes.
The Sienta comes with three-row seating and a 3.3-meter sliding door, as well as a driver-oriented cockpit with a touchscreen display on the center console and round controls of the climate system.
The minivan will be offered in two different versions – one standard and one hybrid. The first one is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 109 PS (80 kW (FWD) and 103 PS (76 kW) (AWD), while the hybrid one has a 74 PS (54 kW) petrol unit supported by an electric motor for a total output of 100 PS (73 kW).
