Despite the changes, Toyota has been able to hold the price of petrol automatic variants, and in some cases reduce them slightly, manual versions go up by $500 while diesel versions, now equipped with a particulate filter, rise between $1000 and $2000.

Starting in the cabin, Toyota has added additional sound deadening to reduce road, tyre, and exhaust noise. There’s also a redesigned centre console and sunglasses holder plus new matte black trim with silver accents.

GXL and Cruiser models are fitted with a new instrument cluster including a 4.2-inch TFT display, GXL also gains a self-dimming interior mirror, while Cruiser offers its leather trim in black, beige or tan, depending on exterior colour.
