Toyota has announced pricing for its Special Edition Camry and Corolla sedan models. Both limited edition cars made their debut earlier this year at the Chicago auto show.
The Camry Special Edition is based on the sport-oriented Camry SE and will arrive in dealer showrooms next month. In addition to its standard SE kit, the Camry Special Edition will boast 18-inch wheels with gloss black accents, smoked taillights, sport fabric seats with contrasting stitching, push button start, navigation and, of course, unique badging. Exterior color choices will be limited to Blue Streak Metallic and Blizzard Pearl.
The Camry Special Edition will be powered by Toyota’s 2.5L four-cylinder hooked to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Camry Special Edition will carry a base price of $25,715. Production is set to run through January 2016 and will be capped at 12,000 units.
The Corolla Special Edition follows the same basic blueprint as its bigger brother and uses the sportiest Corolla S as its starting point. From there the Special Edition gets 17-inch wheels with gloss black finish, push button start, black seats with contrasting red stitching and unique badging. Navigation and a moonroof can be added for an additional charge.
The Corolla Special Edition will be available in three colors — Absolutely Red, Black Sand Pearl and Super White.
The Corolla Special Edition will carry a base MSRP of $20,635. Its production, which will also run through January, will be limited to 8,000 units.
Both the 2016 Camry and Corolla Special Edition models are slated to go on sale around mid-August.
