Toyota is now taking orders for its new hydrogen fuel car.
You can now start the process to order a 2016 Toyota Mirai by heading over to a new website and filling out a questionnaire, that is, if you live in California. Since production of the Toyota Mirai will be limited, vehicles will be placed with select eligible customers when they start arriving at dealerships in October.
Currently, eight dealers will carry the new 2016 Toyota Mirai in California: Longo Toyota, Toyota of Orange, Toyota of Santa Monica, Tustin Toyota, Roseville Toyota, San Francisco Toyota, Stevens Creek Toyota and Toyota Sunnyvale.
The 2016 Toyota Mirai will be priced from $58,325 including destination and the first customers will be part of a “Trailblazer” program that includes options for the following: zero-percent APR for 60 months plus $7,500; Trailblazer Purchase Support of $7,500 or Trailblazer Lease of $499 per month for 36 months with $3,649 due at signing.
Each 2016 Toyota Mirai will come with three years’ worth of complimentary fuel, three years complimentary Safety Connect and Entune, including hydrogen station finder app, three years of 24/7 customer call support, Mirai Complimentary Rental Experience for seven days per year for three years, ToyotaCare, and an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty on key fuel cell vehicle components.
The Mirai received an EPA-estimated driving range of 312 miles and gets an estimated 67 mpge city/highway/combined.
