Available in mid-August as 2016 model years, the Camry and Corolla Special Editions originally debuted earlier this year at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The 2016 Toyota Camry Special Edition will be based on the Camry SE model and adds unique 18-inch wheels with gloss black accents, power tilt/slide moonroof, smoked taillights, Blue Streak Metallic and Blizzard Pearl exterior colors, sport fabric seats with blue inserts and blue contrast stitching, Dark Blue interior trim, unique meter cluster with TFT multi-information display, standard Entune Audio Plus with Connected Navigation, Smart Key System and Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging. The model will also have obligatory Special Edition badges and floor mats.
The 2016 Toyota Camry Special Edition will be priced from $26,605 including destination and is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. It will also be limited to approximately 12,000 units and will be available from August 2015 to January 2016.
With more than 40 million units sold since 1966, the Toyota Corolla is the best-selling nameplate of all time. Making the 2016 Toyota Corolla Special Edition unique are 17-inch gloss black wheels, Smart Key System with push-button start, black mixed media seats with red contrast stitching, black interior with red contrast stitching on the steering wheel, shift boot and center armrest, red accented dash panel and door trim, Special Edition floor mats and unique exterior badge – all added on top of a Corolla S model. The Corolla Special Edition will be available in Absolutely Red, Black Sand Pearl and Super White with pricing starting at $21,460. Available as options for the Corolla Special Edition will be Toyota’s Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite, as well as power tilt/slide moonroof. The Corolla will be limited to approximately 8,000 units.
