Lexus unveils its model strategy for 2015 IAA Frankfurt motor show image

The Japanese luxury brand is not showcasing true worldwide premieres this year at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show but still has impressive roster of new introductions to showcase to the attendees.

Most importantly, the European autumn show will have residents across the Old Continent acquainted with the European versions of the fourth generation RX SUV crossover and updated GS sedan. The brand calls the RX an utterly important model for the European lineup with the make’s top selling model reaching deliveries of some 2.2 million units – the RX is actually making up three out of three vehicle sales for the 26-year old Japanese brand. With a brand new generation to brag about, the RX is also in line with the recent design DNA the brand has showcased. The RX also comes to the European market with advanced and updated hybrid and petrol architectures, new safety technologies/driver aids – including the Lexus Safety System+.

Another important addition to the European range is the facelifted GS line which premieres the GS 200t, which uses the new 2.0l turbo petrol engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Among other features, we also note the addition of standard Bi-LED headlamps. The rest of the models – the CT and IS – will receive new bespoke design cues thanks to the addition of a new, accessible, Sport grade that debuts in European showrooms in September and will also be on display during the 2015 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show.
