Lexus Promises ‘Unprecedented’ World Premiere Next Week

Lexus is heading to the 2016 Detroit Auto Show with an “unprecedented” world premiere.

Although the Japanese luxury automaker has only released the image seen above, it has been rumored that the Lexus LC 500 will bow at the North American International Auto Show next week, based on the Lexus LF-LC concept that was shown at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The production version of the LF-LC has been spied testing numerous times by photographers worldwide, and is believed to be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 with around 465 horsepower.

Rumored to join the lineup is a Lexus LC 500h model that will feature a V6 engine paired to an electric motor for a hybrid powertrain good for over 470 hp. The V8 engine will reportedly be mated to the world’s first 10-speed automatic transmission sourced from Aisin. Eventually Lexus will add a hot LC F model to the lineup, which is believed to be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with around 600 hp.

Check back next week as AutoGuide.com will be reporting live from the 2016 Detroit Auto Show and we will be sure to check out what Lexus has on hand.
