Euro NCAP – Ford Galaxy, S-MAX, Toyota Avensis and Volkswagen Touran get 5-star safety rating image

The Ford Galaxy, Ford S-MAX, Toyota Avensis and Volkswagen Touran have been crash tested by Euro NCAP recently receiving a maximum 5-star safety rating.

According to the safety specialists from the Old Continent, the Ford Galaxy has received 87 percent in Adult Occupant, 87 percent in Child Occupant, 79 percent in Pedestrian safety and 71 percent in Safety Assist. The tested vehicle was a Galaxy 2.0 diesel Titanium weighing 1,779 kg.

The new Ford S-Max has proved to be a safe MPV as well as it has been rated with 87 percent in the Adult Occupant, 87 percent in Child Occupant, 79 percent in Pedestrian safety and 71 percent in Safety Assist, scoring a maximum of 5 stars. The tested model was a 2.0 diesel Titanium weighing 1,725 kg.

The Toyota Avensis has undergone the Euro NCAP safety tests as well scoring a total of 5 stars with 93 percent in Adult Occupant, 85 percent in Child Occupant, 78 percent in Pedestrian safety and 81 percent in Safety Assist. Euro NCAP has tested an Avensis 1.6 D-4D Touring Sports 5-door wagon, weighing 1,550 kg.

Last but not least, the safety specialists have tested the Volkswagen Touran as well which has also scored a maximum 5-star safety rating. The German MPV had 88 percent in Adult Occupant, 89 percent in Child Occupant, 71 percent in Pedestrian safety and 76 percent in Safety Assist. Euro NCAP has tested a Touran 1.6 Comfortline weighing 1,483 kg.
