Daily Diecast: Pay Homage to Paul Walker with this Fast and Furious Toyota Supra

Welcome to AutoGuide.com’s Daily Diecast feature. Every day this week, we’ll be showcasing an extra special diecast model car from the web and showing you exactly why it’s awesome.

If you were one of the grown adults who secretly cried during the Furious 7 tribute to the late Paul Walker, this Daily Diecast is for you.

Today’s feature diecast is the 1994 Toyota Supra MK IV used in the first Fast and Furious movie in 2001. Although other Toyota Supras have made appearances in 2 Fast 2 Furious (a 1993 model) and Furious 7 (a 1995 model), nothing comes quite close to this one’s now iconic aesthetics. Like love, nothing compares to your very first JDM car.

Supra diecast

This diecast model is 1:24 to scale, weighs approximately a pound and was meticulously designed. What’s important to note is the amount of work that was put into ensuring that the exterior is an exact replica of what Brian (Paul Walker’s character) drove after his Mitsubishi Eclipse was destroyed by Johnny Tran’s crew.

Props to the company that made this diecast, as everything from the driver’s side black-and-white pointing arm to the number “12” inside the bumper’s lip stays true to the movie car. If you’ve ever wanted an up-close-and-personal look at the Supra from the movie but didn’t buy it when it was up for auction last year, this model is as close as you’re going to get. Even the roof is detachable to make this Fast and Furious mini-me as cinematically correct as possible.
