2016 Scion tC gets more features, price bump
Scion is giving its tC coupe a slight freshening for the 2016 model year, the Toyota off-shoot announced on Thursday.
Changes are minor, but for 2016 the tC, which is Scion’s most popular model, will receive a Smart Key with push-button start, leather-wrapped shift knob, silver interior door handles and a new center console tray. A standard rear windshield wiper will also be added to the mix.
On the tech front, all 2016 Scion tC models will ship with an up-rated Pioneer sound system. Controlled by a 7-inch touch screen, the new system boasts Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition and the Aha music app.
Those upgrades will add $200 to the base price of the tC. A tC with a manual transmission will carry an MSRP of $20,180 while an automatic car will list from $21,330. Both prices include a mandatory $795 destination charge.
The 2016 Scion tC is scheduled to arrive in dealer showrooms in August.
