2015 Lexus RC 350 F Sport Side In Motion
Following Lexus’ earlier announcements that its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will be joining the 2016 Lexus IS lineup in addition to the 2015 Lexus NX 200t, the 200t powerplant will soon find its way into the 2016 Lexus RC. Although the new model has only been announced for Europe thus far, a Lexus spokesperson confirmed to AUTOMOBILE that the turbocharged four-cylinder engine will soon be officially announced for the 2016 Lexus RC coupe. Lexus also tells us that when the 2016 Lexus RC 200t arrives, it will be “a little bit different” from its European cousin. This potentially means they’ll squeeze some more power out of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. In the IS 200t, Lexus’ 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s possible that Lexus wants to differentiate the sportier 2016 Lexus RC from the IS 200t sedan. Like the IS, the Lexus RC 200t uses an eight-speed automatic transmission to send its power to the rear wheels.

The European version of the 2016 Lexus RC 200t will offer an F Sport trim which we fully expect to come to U.S. shores. In addition to the more aggressive styling we know from F Sport models in the past (bigger wheels, black-mesh spindle grille, distinctive badging and trim pieces), the Euro-spec 2016 Lexus RC 200t also gets a Torsen limited-slip differential and an adaptive variable suspension. 19-inch aluminum wheels are included as an upgrade over the available 18-inch and stock 17-inch wheels. The V-6-powered 2015 Lexus RC 350 currently starts at $43,730 with rear-wheel drive.
