How come there isn’t one. I am considering choices between Lexus, BMW
and Mercedes, but all I can find is Lexus bashing in the later two
news. It would be nice to go to a NG to discuss questions about the
Lexus without being bashed.

There are several related topics in the Edmunds Sedan section, and there is
also a Lexus conference. See … http://members.aol.com/jm8869
After testing both BMW and M-B, I bought a GS400 – more car for less money.
Good Luck!

That has actually been my dilemma. I am still debating between the 540i
6-speed, the C43 AMG and the GS400. I have test driven all three of them but a
simple test drive cannot tell you anything about the true performance of the
car. The C43 was slightly small because I am a bodybuilder, the BMW is well, a
BMW (reliability and the build of everything except the engine and tranny pretty
much scares me), the GS400 seemed like the right choice, but I am hesitant
because I am not sure of how well it can really perform.
Any more input you can give me on this car will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx in advance,

Go read the buff books. They are about the only ones who get track time to find
out how these cars "really perform" and as I recall they love the GS400 (except
for controversial styling).
