A buddy of mine has an ’87 Toyota pickup truck and the interior release
lever is not working to release the hood. Making matters worse, we just
backflushed the radiator and it still has a bellyful of flushing
compound, so it still needs that flushed out and 50/50 mix put in, of
course. I’ll name my first born after you if you e-mail me a good way to
get that damn hood open.

Just drive into any Toyota shop and they will open it for you. At that
point I suggest you purchase a new cable from them.

Try taking out the grill, if you can do it from the front – then reach
inside and trip the hood latch.
Have you tried DYNAMITE!!!!
