hi there,
sometimes the following weird thing happens on my 91 Celica:
the little red battery light flares up for a moment on the dashboard, and at
the same time my headlights and dashboard lights "blink/flicker/glimmer" a
little bit. it does not have any effect on the engine performance though,
and appears randomly.
is it possible, that one of the relays is dieing?
any ideas, what the problem might be?

Does the lights get brighter when this happens or dimmer, both under and over
charge will turn on the light, if it gets brighter, look for an open in the
circuit between the alternator and the battery or high resistance, if it gets
dimmer, it may be an alt failing, ie brushes are about gone etc.

Watch out for incrementalism, this is the way they slowly

They will trick you into thinking that giving up
a freedom/right is the correct thing to do with
phrases like "its for the children" etc. or make
you feel guilty even though, you broke no laws
Ask yourself this: Does your kids have the same freedoms you
did when you were their age? Remember when you brought a squirt
gun to school, it was still classified as a toy! Now they get
thrown out for bringing a gun to school, or an aspirin etc!
