im looking to replace my stock springs with 225,000 miles on them with a
pair of replacement springs by a brand called ground control. they allow you
to customize your spring rate, i have no clue what the stock spring rate is
on my celica, and i am clueless as to what spring rate is considered hard
and what is too hard, FYI- i am 100% for handling and performance and could
care less about ride comfortability.

"Inaba acknowledged that Toyota vehicles had often lacked "passion"
and that the company’s vehicles must be "more exciting, more nimble."

"Toyota is a good car but not exciting. Those are the comments we

year — to 770,000 cars and trucks from nearly 1.25 million vehicles

Tough times:

Toyota Motor Corp. will wind down its 25-year-old joint venture with
General Motors Co., threatening the jobs of 4,700 workers at New
United Motor Manufacturing Inc., California’s only major auto factory,
according to people familiar with the plan.

Toyota said Thursday that it would begin talks with Motors Liquidation
Co., the business responsible for selling GM assets that were not part
of the new GM that emerged from bankruptcy. Those assets include GM’s
half of NUMMI.

"There is a likelihood we would not buy the rest of it," Yoshi Inaba,
Toyota’s top North American executive, told reporters Thursday in
Troy.

  Reminds me of the HD converter box scam.  I’ve still got two worthless
expired coupons from that fiasco.
  I finally found a couple of RCA converter boxes at a junk store, 1.95
each and one had a remote with batteries.  Now the gov’t only owes me a
big screen TV so I can sit on the couch and eat potato chip and watch
obama everyday.

The Bush White House batted around the idea of sending the military into
Lackawana, New York. They decided it was a bad idea.

And you thought Bush would shred the Constitution at any cost.

If you were getting a GPS to put on your dashboard, would you bother
taking off the necessary part of the dash to hide the power cord?

If you look at any interior shot of the cockpit… the GPS would sit
on top of the dash, in the center (right above the radio), and the
power cord would go down to the power outlet below the shifter.

Any thoughts or ideas?
