Prius

Way to go Toyota!

It must be quite a design challenge to produce a hybrid like the Prius and
have it get only 60 miles per gallon.

RAV4 vs. RAV4L?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:59 pm

I am confused about the differences between a RAV4 and a RAV4L.

What is the painted cladding on the L?  What is the cladding and what
color would it be for the Prussian Red Pearl RAV4L?

I realize that the RAV4L = RAV4 plus one of the two Value Packs plus
other stuff.  What I am confused about is what the list of other stuff
includes.

Can someone help me out?

Aftermarket auto window crank

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:58 pm

My 90 Camry was so base, it didnt’ even come with floor mats or a vanity
mirror(s).  Anyway, I have recently put on aftermarket power door lock
actuators, and was wondering if it would be possible to make a window device
that can roll down the windows.

D'OH! Hood won't open!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:46 am

A buddy of mine has an ’87 Toyota pickup truck and the interior release
lever is not working to release the hood. Making matters worse, we just
backflushed the radiator and it still has a bellyful of flushing
compound, so it still needs that flushed out and 50/50 mix put in, of
course. I’ll name my first born after you if you e-mail me a good way to
get that damn hood open.

86 Camry clutch/transmission problem?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:45 am

Suddenly, it has become almost impossible to put my car into 1st gear, when
cold (first start of day).  I can get it in reverse, but it makes a brief
grinding noise.  If I let it run for even 30 seconds, I can get it in 1st
gear.  Car has about 100K miles; new clutch & transmission at 40K.  Any
ideas?

Thanks,
Ron

Air condition trouble-HELP?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:45 am

My compressor just went out on my ’91 truck. That was the third. The
last two lasted a year each, and were both out of warranty when they
died. Any suggestions on causes? Both were supposedly done properly and
entirely. I drive 200 miles per day, in Phoenix, so I imagine the heat
is doing it.
Other than that, it runs great, with 265K miles.
Any help would be appreciated.

How to replace 4Runner speedo???

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:45 am

Should I attempt the speedo cable replacement on my ’90 V-6 4-Runner
with auto trans?  The manual isn’t very clear – the pictures are of an
older model dash.  Any helpful advice would be appreciated (like take it
to the dealer!).
